About Early Steps Daycare

Early Steps Daycare, Inc. was founded in 2022 in response to the community’s significant need for high-quality early childhood care and education services. We were created with the mission to provide local families with a safe, nurturing, and family-oriented program to care for and foster the growth of their children in developmentally appropriate ways. Our daycare model is built around three key pillars: care, education and cultural worldview.

Philosophy of Care

Our caregivers are highly trained, empathetic and skilled at caring for young children. They present multiple, interactive learning experiences (i.e. individual, small & large group activities, hands-on experiences, outdoor learning opportunities, etc.) and support children in solving simple problems in classrooms filled with various manipulative, creative, dramatic, and sensory materials. Older children are encouraged to participate in the classroom community by sharing their thoughts, ideas, and interests, creating rules & expectations, and caring for one another whenever possible and appropriate.

Philosophy of Education

Early Steps Daycare, Inc. believes that children learn best in an environment that is child-centered, provides multiple learning opportunities, and includes a lot of play. The program respects each child’s age and stage of development and plans a curriculum that meets their individual interests and needs. Each child progresses at their own pace and all children are provided with a variety of activities that focus on the development of social skills, understanding of basic academic tasks, and to promote increased communication with others.

Philosophy of Culture

Early Steps Daycare, Inc. offers children and families a program that fosters a global view of the world and society as a whole. The program presents children with various global and cultural experiences and materials so that they can learn how different cultures and regions of the world can interact with one another in positive ways. Early Steps Daycare, Inc. strives to teach young children that differences aren’t good or bad, different is just different, and should be valued, not be feared.
