Preschool Daycare Program

Early Steps Preschool Care Program

Early Steps Daycare implements a nurturing, inclusive play-based program.  Each classroom’s curriculum is planned based on the interests and individual needs of the children enrolled.  The curriculum includes age and developmentally appropriate activities that support the overall development of a child across all learning domains including cognitive, language, social, emotional, and motor (gross & fine) skills of the children as they participate in activities.  All of our programs meet the guidelines set by the DEEC and are based on standards set by NAEYC and other professional organizations.

Caring for Your Preschooler

It is our commitment to provide multiple learning experiences and opportunities for children to choose from in a caring, safe, educational and fun environment.

Preschool teachers present daily activities to each child as well as activities for small & large group learning. Preschool groups are focused on skills the children are working towards mastering and social interactions with peers.

Each Preschool Classroom includes the following learning centers: math & manipulatives, sensory table time, science exploration, dramatic play, art, language arts, blocks, creative writing area, and outdoor learning.

Age Specialized Staffing Care

Children between the ages of 2 years 9 months and 5 years (or entry to Kindergarten) are considered preschoolers.  At Early Steps Daycare preschool age children are presented with a play-based curriculum that supports their social-emotional and pre-academic skills.
