Toddler Daycare Program

Early Steps Toddler Care Program

Early Steps Daycare implements a nurturing, inclusive play-based program.  Each classroom’s curriculum is planned based on the interests and individual needs of the children enrolled.  The curriculum includes age and developmentally appropriate activities that support the overall development of a child across all learning domains including cognitive, language, social, emotional, and motor (gross & fine) skills of the children as they participate in activities. All of our programs meet the guidelines set by the DEEC and are based on standards set by NAEYC and other professional organizations.

Caring for Your Toddler

It is our commitment to provide all children enrolled in our Toddler Program with an attentive, caring and nurturing environment.

Early Steps Daycare staff provide multiple experiences for your child to explore their environment, promote their growth and development as well as learn social skills with their peers.

The following learning centers are part of each Toddler program: sensory, dramatic play, blocks, gross motor skills, language arts, manipulatives, and outdoor learning.

Age Specialized Staffing Care

Once children reach the age of 15 months and until they are 2 years 9 months, they are considered a toddler.

Toddlers enrolled at Early Steps Daycare begin to follow a daily routine and participate in activities with their toddler age peers; they eat together, participate in some group activities, and nap at the same time.

All toddlers enrolled are offered outdoor time each day (weather permitting), art & sensory activities, a small group/circle time to sing songs, listen to short books, or other fun activities.
